Focused Intercession for California
Cindy Jacobs, co-founder with her husband, Mike, of Generals International, says God is calling all Christians to pray for California. She also says that America as a nation is at a critical moment in history and that all believers must join together to intercede.
The Lord spoke to me out of the book of Joel, saying, “Blow the ram’s horn trumpet in Zion [San Francisco]! Declare a day of repentance, a holy fast day. Call a public meeting. Get everyone there. Consecrate the congregation. Make sure the elders come, but bring in the children, too, even the nursing babies. Even men and women on their honeymoon—interrupt them and get them there. Between sanctuary entrance and altar, let the priests, God’s servants, weep tears of repentance. Let them intercede: ‘Have mercy, God, on your people! … Don’t let the pagans take over and rule them and sneer, and say where is this God of theirs?’” Joel 2:15, (The Message).
For the past few months, many prophetic voices have been crying out about judgments coming on California and San Francisco. We are in a Joel’s hour as never before. I believe with all my heart that it is time for warriors to arise with focused intercession.
The Lord made it clear to me that we, as Americans, are on a cusp. We are either going to go forward, becoming the “city set on a hill” that our forefathers dreamed about, or we will lose our greatness.
