================================================= A lot of people have mentioned that this whole site can be confusing at first. There are basically five places you can “post” something you want others to see, or read what others have written:

Forums (“Start a Discussion,” or Reply)
Groups (Just like Forums, but they have their own little spots)
Blog Posts (On the “Main” page, or on your own “Page”)
Your “Page” (You can make blog posts, “Comments” to yourself or others, or pretty much anything)
Other people’s Pages (make or answer “comments.”

And there is a lot, lot more you can do. One more thing that always comes up is about “Friends.” Basically, it doesn’t matter. It’s mainly a cutesy thing in a “social network” – your Friends’ icons show up on your page, and vice versa. It also enables you to send private messages to each other, but you can do that without Ning, anyway.
